Candidates must possess a minimum of 60 credit hours from an accredited university or college. A bachelors degree is preferred.
Candidates must be older than 21 years old with no felony or serious misdemeanor arrests.
No illegal drug use within the last two years. No hallucinogen use ever.
Never sold illegal drugs.
Be willing to live within 45 miles of Bethany Beach Delaware.
Must successfully pass a written entrance exam, oral interview, physical fitness test, polygraph examination, psychological examination and thorough background investigation.
Possess a valid Delaware Drivers license upon graduation from the police academy.
No revocation or suspension of drivers license in the past three years.
